SINGULAR CHARACTER ILLUSTRATION
A practice that uses disproportion to make the ordinary emotionally legible - where exaggerated features carry what a realistic face would conceal.
@Moshkivska
Moshkivska's practice builds portraits through deliberate disproportion - exaggerated eyes, amplified ears, sensory features pushed beyond realism to expose what a composed face would otherwise hold back. Each figure exists as a singular presence a carrier of emotional atmosphere that the viewer is invited to complete. The work constructs the conditions under which the viewer's own story becomes visible. What appears intimate and warm on the surface operates through precise pictorial decisions that leave nothing in the image by accident.
Those who still buy things that make them feel something emotionally available, quietly nostalgic, and anyone who has ever recognized their own inner life in a stranger's face.
