Artwork Statement:

"Volume" shows a woman caught in her own small ritual: a cigarette, a pair of headphones and a line written by hand along her neck that holds the piece together: turn the volume up until the world becomes something I could stand.

It's a portrait of the quiet ways we retreat – into music, into smoke, into a place only we can reach – when the outside gets too loud.

This piece belongs to the series "Nobodies", where each figure is both nameless and bodiless – a head on a long neck, an inner world elevated into a monument.

Prayer of Light is my attempt at proving that our most vulnerable parts were always the most luminous. Metaphorically using light as a trace of the human body, this artwork showcases that our heartbeat is not only a mechanical beat but a radiating prayer. True strength does not only emerge from power, but from a place of vulnerability glowing from the very core of our flaws.

Artwork Statement:

The figure it depicts is hovering over water. It is caught mid-fall yet poised gracefully. If it falls, it sinks, if it rises, it crashes. Even its wings, which tend to be a display of power itself, are armored. Not to attack, but to protect. It does not fit in to its bleak surroundings, imitating my convictions of being a transgender man. It is a metaphysical depiction representing the fluid median of gender, life, and individual identity.

The volatility is how I have experienced life through its rockiest tenets, while building this practice from scratch.

I started making art when I was fourteen. Today, to have created not only a brand but a belief system from ground-up means I am still trying to reckon the visibility I receive for it; Deciphering what it means to be truly seen. In art, the lines are often blurry between the process and the results.

That is why I’m calling this piece “NE1THER/N6R” (neither nor).

The numbers 16 come from my birthdate, while the number 6 comes from my religious identity.

This piece is about family, the relation of a mother to his son, breakups and paths diverging. Both figures are tightly wrapped in the same heavy, damask cloth. This symbolizes their family matrix, the home, and the weight of their shared past. However, the complete lack of physical or visual contact illustrates the rupture: they still carry the same family heritage, but the emotional connection is broken.

The mother's drape, tinted with slate blue, symbolizes coldness and melancholy, but also preservation, authority, and attachment to the past. Blue is a "full" color: she remains draped in her certainties, her principles, and the palpable mourning of the lost relationship. The son's garment is a neutral gray, washed of any hue. This absence of color marks his emotional detachment. The gray represents a "blank slate": he is shedding the colored identity his mother projected onto him to become a blank canvas. It is the color of transition and neutrality, illustrating his passage toward a new life whose true colors have yet to be defined.
