Curatorial Position
Brann's practice does not resolve the tension between the human and the divine — it holds both in the same compositional space until neither can be idealized. The work constructs symbolic environments where contrast is not aesthetic preference but structural necessity — color, form, and light are not expressive choices but load-bearing decisions. What enters first as atmosphere reveals itself, upon sustained attention, as an argument — precise, mythologically structured, and conceptually uncompromising. The process is the architecture; the image is its residue.
