THE MANDATE
Apanage is an independent institution for the sovereign artist — building the infrastructure through which cultural significance becomes structurally protected, not market-dependent. We exist as the exception in an art world where every major actor holds a dependency that shapes what they say, what they show, and who they protect.
Apanage works with a limited number of artists at any given time. Every inquiry is read individually — by the people who make the curatorial decisions. There is no automated process, no standard response. What you send reaches the institution directly.
